Action: You apply the following changes the next time you click the Upgrade button for your Engine Yard Stack V6 environment.
Note: For clarity, we refer to this stack as the Engine Yard Ubuntu 19.05 stack. You can access it by using the Stack select field in the Environment UI: stable-v6-1.0.30
It's best practice to upgrade your Engine Yard Ubuntu 19.05 (stable-v6) stack regularly for the latest security and product updates. This update:
- Adds support for Sidekiq via environment variables (PR: #159)
- Adds support for Aurora PostgreSQL (PR: #168)
- Excludes DB instances from hosting Sidekiq workers by default (PR: #167)
Important: When Sidekiq is configured via environment variables (1.) we advise you to manually set the serverside version to 2.8.0. This can be done via the more opts link next to the Deploy button in the dashboard. With this version of serverside the Sidekiq workers will be restarted automatically during a deployment. For more information on configuring Sidekiq and other features via Environmental Variables (therefore removing the features' dependency on custom Chef recipes) please see the documentation.
