Engine Yard Release Notes for June 25th, 2019

Action: You apply the following changes the next time you click the Upgrade button for your Engine Yard Gentoo 2016 environment.

Note: For clarity, since we now have 2 Gentoo stacks, we refer to this stack as the Engine Yard Gentoo 2016 stack. You can access it by using the Stack select field in the Environment UI: stable-v5-3.0.59

Warning: Avoid using stable-v5-3.0.59 of our stack if your application runs on PHP as this version introduced a bug which breaks chef on PHP environments. Move to stable-v5-3.0.60 instead.

It's best practice to upgrade your Engine Yard Gentoo 2016 (stable-v5) stack regularly for the latest security and product updates. This update:

• Support for RubyGems 3.x in Chef is now available. (PR - https://github.com/engineyard/ey-cookbooks-stable-v5/pull/402)

• Updates the Ruby recipes to properly install dependencies, including RubyGems. (PR - https://github.com/engineyard/ey-cookbooks-stable-v5/pull/403)

• Updates Ruby to 2.4.6 and 2.5.5. (PR -https://github.com/engineyard/ey-cookbooks-stable-v5/pull/404)

• Add support for Ruby 2.6. (PR - https://github.com/engineyard/ey-cookbooks-stable-v5/pull/405)
